Happy Monday! So excited for another Quick Style Tips post, and this one is about my favorite piece of clothing, Band Tees. Comment below if you also love them. I have collected so many of them and love them in all colors and styles. But, band tees are usually notorious to stay very casual. Not really!
Sharing 5 easy steps to transform a band tee outfit into a Chic look. And this is my Parisian inspired look, Casual yet Chic. Lets, Start.
Step 1
Swap Your Jeans or Shorts which are the obvious ways of wearing the tee with a satin bias skirt, this can also be worn with any style of skirt that looks chic, but the satin Bia skirt gives it a more modern chic look and looks way more put together. Since the tee was black, I thought a black skirt would look perfect with it and trust me after I am done, you will want to wear this to your next date night or night out look.
The structure of the skirt makes it so feminine and chic. And the most important part is to not forget to tuck in the tee completely into the skirt.
Step 2
Adding Accessories are a great way of adding a stylish and feminine touch to the look. A simple yet chic pearl hair clip makes the outfit look so put together. It feels like you put an effort in getting ready even though you really only added a snap clip.
The pearl detail adds a softer touch to the otherwise more grungy and rough looking band tee. And It instantly elevates your hairstyle. Even though you might just have combed your hair, adding a hair clip instantly makes it look stylish. Trust me. These pearl clips are really inexpensive way of upgrading your entire hair game.
Step 3
And Let’s add a layered necklace. You can also add a chunky necklace, or pearl necklace, but a layered necklace actually compliments the band tee making the look retro and vintage which these band tees are exactly.
They are also not too heavy so with the graphics of the tee, a really heavy necklace would make your outfit look too busy and specially around your neck area and we are trying to create more of a chic feminine look.
The dainty chains add a touch of feminity to the whole outfit and the layering alway gives it a chic vibe.
Step 4
This is an easy fix isn’t it. Swap your sneakers with scrappy sandals. They are you easy ticket to an instant style upgrade. Wear them with shorts, jeans, pants, jumpsuits, and they always transform your outfit. And why not try this in summer, a perfect time to rock them.
I chose, white scrappy sandals instead of black ones to give some more brightness to this outfit and bring out a spring summer vibe. And its a great contrast to this all white look. I love the wrap straps that are so chic and you can get really creative with different styles of wrapping.
Step 5
Last and my most favorite style is to add a pop of color with a layer, so I added my favorite blazer of this year, the pink blazer. It compliments the color of the graphics on the tee and looks so chic with the entire look.
This is the perfect layer for your evening out which brings a colorful fun twist to the otherwise black clothing pieces.
Adding a blazer easily makes it appropriate for business casual work spaces as well. And who would not want that. Blazers are such a versatile piece in our closet and much needed for every working woman.
