Ankle dresses have become my new favorite and they are not midi dresses at all. These are the style that will suit any body type and in fact will make you look taller.
These look more elegant and in fact wearable compared to maxi dresses and not as frumpy as midi dresses. So, if you are like some length in your dresses but hate feeling like you are drowning in maxi dresses then you will absolutely love them.
If you are a fan of midi dresses, but they just don’t look modern at all no matter how you style them, then your answer are ankle length dresses.
This year, I have been looking at so many of these gorgeous ones, and I wanted to share some of my top favorites so you don’t have to do the searching and figuring out.
Anthropologie - Felipa Maxi Dress

Don’t go by the name of the dress, this dress is ankle length specially with wide elastic waist band, I love how pretty this victorian style dress looks. The buttoned V neck gives a casual vibe to the dress but at the same time, the ruffle details and puff sleeves the dress also looks elegant and really feminine. This means that it is really versatile and you can style it with either sneakers or sandals depending on the occasion.
This is the reason ankle length dresses can be so versatile compared to the other variations.
I also love the print of the dress, its one of my favorite Batik print with blue, pink and yellow colors, all three of them are perfect for summer and my favorites colors.
This dress also comes in another color, but if you are looking for a summer dress, then this is it.

This is a new arrival and exclusively available online on Anntaylor and has my hearts rested on it. The color is subtle blush with tones of terra-cotta which looks so elegant as well as fun to wear.
The gathered waist adds more feminity and elegance to the dress. But I love that its also sleeveless which is tough to find anywhere this year, they either have sleeves or have tie straps which is not as versatile.
The print on the dress are subtle blue leaves that look so pretty and elegant. I absolutely see myself creating a bohemian look with this dress and a pair of scrappy flats, and a summer straw hat.

Puff sleeve dresses are here to stay and I honestly cannot get enough of them. But finding one that also looks elegant and modern has become a bit tough. I found a great combination of that in this wrap ankle length dress from & Other Stories, a brand that I have honestly fallen is love with.
Most of the pieces in there collections are simple and yet elegant that will look great on any women. This pastel mint dress looks so beautiful in the silhouette. Usually wrap dresses have deeper neckline making it a bit difficult for someone like myself with fuller chest. But this dress’s neckline looks perfectly modest.
The print is more of mosaic style white prints that are so subtle that you can hardly notice. And the ruffle wide hem add a bit more feminine curve to anyones look.
