I am always on the hunt for budget beauty finds which are also good quality because we all deserve great products and we should not be paying a lot of money for good finds, as women its our right.
Hair products are something that I have always over spent on, not sure why! Maybe because I actually don’t have that awesome hair as some of you amazing people have, and I was always worried that I might loose all of the if I experiment too much. So I decided to use whatever products people suggested and some of them were not cheap at all.
Let’s be honest, keeping up with expensive products is tiresome. So, for this road trip i thought it would be an excellent time to try some small sizes of products that are not only cheap but excellent quality.
I had bought the hair spray from Love Beauty and Planet long time ago, but I did not try the shampoo and conditioner. So, i thought the road trip will be a perfect time to try this since I hate buying expensive bottles of shampoo and conditioner from brands where I can do a bulk purchase.
Price Point – I am comparing this with my Pureology Strength Cure Shampoo and conditioner which costs me $29 each for an 8.5 oz bottle which will be ideal for travels, now I bought the Love Beauty and Planet 13.5 oz shampoo and conditioner from there Divine Definition collection which is $6.99 each at Target. Yes, guys there was a win already in the purchase in my mind which is pretty simple.

Contents – Both Pureology and Love Beauty and Planet are sulfate free products which works awesome for my fine hair. Now sulphate makes your hair frizzier and crispier. I know you know what I mean, its the feeling that your hair feels like bob wire. But I was impressed even more when I found out more details about the product. Its a cruelty free, no silicon, paragon free and more over there bottles are 100% recyclable. And it smells amazing. I love hair products which have a natural fragrance. YAAS!

Experience – My hair type is a greasy fine hair which means i have to wash my hair every 3-4 days depending on my activities in those days. This also leads to a problem that I have to use a lot of shampoo in order to clean my hair. But I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t need to use a lot from Love Beauty and Planet shampoo. I took out around 2 squeezes of the bottle and my hair felt clean. I was using the volume and bounty which lived unto its expectation. The conditioner is lighter weight than my Pureology one, which has a flip side to it as well. You will need more of it, since when I applied the usual amount that I always, my hair still felt dry and a little tangled. So, while drying I was struggling with combing. But after drying my hair feels as always, soft and manageable (maybe I should apply more conditioner and give it a try next time. My hair is fine and gets greasy after 2 days, so using a voluminous shampoo helps with keeping it well voluminous during vacation. Today is my 3rd day and even after a tough 4 hr hike, and tying my hair in a tight ponytail, My roots still have the bounce and the best part is I don’t need dry shampoo or teasing for styling for vacation where we should relax and not worry about our hair. So, the volume and bounty shampoo works as promised.

Overall, I will give this shampoo 8/10 in my scale of sulfate free shampoos as it was a huge in terms of its price point and the shampoo quality. I wasn’t sold on the conditioner, but I will give another try with more amount to see if that changes my drying experience.

But something that I did find out if the company is there awesome initiative towards the environment and there goals. This is what every beauty company should focus on going forward, that is when we are truly moving to a better future.
