I feel like with every season, I want to refresh my makeup drawers with something new and it makes me feel like I have changed my entire self to prepare for the new season. Don’t you feel like that? At the same time we have so many options and too many choices to make. I am also with you there, I love experimenting with new makeup to change my look and routine ever so slightly.
To be honest you wont even find the difference, because I love a nude look, the whole natural makeup look (You know what I mean). I like to keep my makeup for spring summer effortless and glowy. Thats right, its not a real word, but you get what I am saying. I like for my skin to feel radiant and yet have the coverage it needs in place that need coverage. And I am so excited to share that I have ventured into the world of Charlotte Tilbury, Dior and Chanel, some of my favorite brands.
I was looking for a foundation that is light enough and yet has a bit of coverage and is hydrating as well and the Charlotte tilbury Magic foundation provides all of that with added Sunscreen protection which is a must now for all foundation I must say. The silky feeling of the foundation which blends quickly saving me plenty of time. I apply with my finger tips and then use a blending brush to blend it all. I love the natural all day feeling of the foundation.
I love the Charlotte Tilbury Magic away liquid concealer that I actually use like a highlighter under my eyes, because yes I do need a bit of help there. The concealer is very light and blends quickly which I absolutely love. And I top it off with the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder. With setting powder I realized that a non tinted one works better on my skin since any pigmented once are tough to my match for my skin tone.
Now, the Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm face palette is a new addition my makeup family and I am absolutely in love. I use the darker palette which matches my skin tone. The powder is super light and instantly makes my skin glow. I use it to contour and highlight both and its totally worth the purchase. When I do have more time to work on my face, I use the Charlotte Tilbury Contour wand and love the results. The store representative at Nordstrom showed me how to use it and I just instantly wanted it.
In terms of lipsticks, If you know me you will always see me in nude colors that match my skin tone, and trust me guys, its so hard to find nudes. I am sure you guys must be nodding reading this. So I stick to the lipsticks if I find a perfect match and the Charlotte Tilbury liquid lipstick color- Show girl is my shade and I am happily stuck with it forever. Its the perfect blend of pink and nude that I need for my lips and this is my 3rd one. It not only stays most of the day, it does not make my lips too dry like most matte lip stains.
I discovered this lipstick from Sephora and I was so excited that I found the shade from the Dior Rouge Matte collection and the shade is Terrific matte. I also purchased a bit of a purple pink hue from the same collection which is more of a special occasion wear when I like to switch out my lipstick.
I wanted to share two things for my eyes. Lets chat about the jade roller, I cannot live without it to be honest. In the morning when my under eye is puffy and I want to give it a bit of definition, I use the roller to help depuff that area and to be honest, I use it all over my face after I apply my moisturizer to even out everything and depuff my face. I highly recommend this product (I will link them all) if you suffer from puffy under eyes like me. And I then add my Chanel Eye primer which is like a moisturizer for eyes with the benefit of a primer. Its soft and creamy and I have to tell you, you should always use eye primer if you like eyeshadow. I usually just add a transition color to keep my eyelids from looking oily which tends to happen if I skip the step.
If you haven’t noticed, I am an eye liner gal. I love eyeliners, and I specially work better with the Pen style eyeliner and this one from Charlotte tilbury provides perfect precision without any bleeding without doubt because I do apply my eye liner before doing my face, so any other liner kind of bleeds around my outer corner of my eyes, but this one, stays put.
