12 Best Top Coat Nail Polish To Prevent Chipping

Polka dot nails are all the rage right now and I am not at all mad about it. They look fun and perfect for vacation and everyday looks. But not all color combos look good, some tend to look quite tacky at times.

I have been trying different color combos and I have found these 13 color combos to be fun and look classy as well. Because lets face it, we are not taking off our nail polish everyday like our outfits, so we need to wear colors that works well with our lifestyle – work, everyday and weekend.

And these color combos take the worry out of your head.

Polka Dot Color Combo #1

Chocolate Brown + White

Chocolate brown is the summer alternative color for black. It looks sophisticated but it does not look as intense as the black nails. Pair it with white nail color as polka dots and you can wear this color combo for days everywhere.

This is perfect for ladies who love wearing darker nails all year round. I love this color and it’s my favorite shade lately.

You don’t need the French tip design, try with just an overall nail polish. And add the dots using a pin.

Polka Dot Color Combo #2

Fun Blue + Butter Yellow

This is one of my fav color combo and I am wearing the color combo on repeat because it looks fun but the soft blue shade balances the butter yellow shade. You can add the butter yellow dots in a subtle way on 1 nail.

Or you can also try it on all the nails. The blue being the base and the dots being yellow looks much better than the other way round. This is perfect for everyday polka dot nail color idea.

But if you are headed for vacation, swap the colors and you have a chic vacation ready nail.

Polka Dot Color Combo #3

Baby Pink + White

If you like elegance and sophistication, then this baby pink and white polka dot nail color combo looks amazing. It’s soft and feminine with the baby pink. The white polka dots look subtle with makes this polka dot nail design look really classy and elevated.

You can wear the pink on all instead of the French tip design because this is such a chic color and the polka dot looks classy.

Polka Dot Color Combo #4

Black + Soft Pink

If you are a fan of the black nail polish then this shade will be perfect for you.  Black base nail color and white polka dots create a high contrast and it looks tacky.

But if you pick a darker shade like pink, it looks more subtle. But here the polka dot size actually matters. Tiny polka dots look more elevated than bigger ones.

Polka Dot Color Combo #5

Black + Soft Pink

Mauve is a universal shade that looks great on any skin tone and is a neutral shade that you will look great in. And mauve with white polka dots looks chic and sophisticated. Its not too bright, but the polka dot bring a bit of a fun in it.

I love this shade a lot and perfect for ladies who do not like loud nail colors.

Polka Dot Color Combo #6

Soft Pink + Chocolate Brown

This nail combo is perfect for summer weather. The pink looks vibrant and chic. And the chocolate brown is not so over powering like black. It still feels like summer and fun.  You can create this alternative French tip nails or you can just have the basic all over pink and brown polka dots.

I love this nail and it’s going to be my summer vacation nail color combination.

Pistachio + Cream

Pistachio nail color is a rare color to spot. But it looks soft and sophisticated. And I am absolutely obsessed with this Pistachio and Cream polka dot color combo. It looks chic and so classy.

The color is subtle and will compliment all your summer outfits. So you can wear bright colors with it without feeling like you need to tone it down.

Polka Dot Color Combo #8

Powder Blue + Butter Yellow

Powder blue and butter yellow is such a fun and feminine color combo. And it looks great together in the polka dot design. It does not really matter whether you want to have the powder blue or Butter yellow as the base.

Both shades are light and will balance perfectly in the polka dot design. This is an awesome color combo to create a chic vacation nail design. The interchangeable polka dots look really chic together.

Polka Dot Color Combo #9

Lilac + Purple

Lilac and Purple are from the same color family which makes this polka dot color combo cohesive and fun. If you like darker nails you can also switch the colors by making purple the base and the lilac shade polka dots.

But keeping lilac as the base makes this polka dot design perfect for summer whether where we generally like lighter nail colors. I honestly am in love with the nail design as well. But you can always try different styles with the color combo.

Polka Dot Color Combo #10

Butter Yellow + Cream

Want to wear the butter yellow as a nail color because why not. It’s summer and it’s absolutely the most fun color. But it does look a bit intense, then try cream polka dot nails that look chic and effortless.

The cream shade tones down the butter yellow. And in this color combo you can absolutely try bigger polka dots. They actually look better than smaller polka dots.

Polka Dot Color Combo #11

Light Blue + Bright Blue

Light blue is another popular warm weather nail colors, but it does end up looking basic. But by adding bright blue polka dot to this nail design, your design looks fun and perfect for summer weather.

Since both shades are from the same color family it does not feel as much of a contrast and your nails look classy and elevated. And absolute must try nail color combo this summer.

Polka Dot Color Combo #12

Pistachio + Pink

Pistachio and Pink is an unusual nail color combo just by itself. But when you combine them in a polka dot nail design it looks amazing. She has tried both ways of polka cot designs and I cannot make up my mind as to which one is better.

Both shades are subtle yet fun, and together they look chic but sophisticated. These colors are not combined together often, so they actually look luxe as well.

I had to share this ultimate timeless color combo which also looks great in Polka dots. The Navy is the ultimate classy nail color that looks great on any skin tone and you can create a chic polka dot nail design with white nail polish.

This polka dot nail combo looks chic in both bigger and smaller polka dots, just because it’s such a classy color duo.
