If you know me personally, you know I am a Diptyque fan because of the quality of their perfumes. This Parisian fragrance brand has some of the best fragrance and you must try one of their perfumes because I have more than one here that you should absolutely try.
The Fleur De Peau is lingering in my senses even after a day of trying the fragrance. Diptyque perfumes last because of the high quality ingredients.
The Fleur De Peau Eau De Parfum smells like a Musky peachy summer afternoon. When you smell you can imagine yourself sitting on your backyard porch and feeling the floral summer fragrance touching your skin while the linens are drying outside. It instantly takes me to nature.
There is a musky note to this perfume which makes it last longer. And I think that’s the secret to most of their perfumes. The dark rich note that you can continue to smell after hours of spraying it on yourself.
Diptyque’s perfumes are based on Greek Gods and this was is the height of sensuality. You can just feel that when you smell. And imagine how beautiful it will smell when you wear it on your skin.
I am simply obsessed with this fragrance. It’s like sensual opulence bottle in a 75 ml beautifully designed bottle. It also comes in a 200 ml bottle, but I always recommend the smaller one as a starter edition.
Aesop Aurner Eau de Parfum
Aesop is a popular Australian skincare brand and most known for their amazing handwash and hand cream. And that’s how I discovered them. But they have opened up a beautiful store near me in the Valley Fair mall and I had to check them out.
And honestly I was surprised by all the perfumes they had. A literally closet full of them. It looked beautiful, so I had to give it a try. And fell in love with the Aesop Aurner Eau de Parfum.
It smells like a romantic warmth. Yes, you read that right. The fragrance has a slight musk to it and I was instantly obsessed. The musk is coming from Cedar and spice notes but it has Chamomile floral notes as well which is pretty subtle.
All Aesop perfumes are unisex and that made sense when I smelled this perfume. I instantly thought of my husband’s arms which gave me that soft romantic vibe. Perfumes can be a huge romance boost ladies, if you haven’t tried it.
When you smell good or your man smells good, you just love it. And this perfume is giving all the soft romance vibe. And the dark shade of the bottle adds it as well.
Maison Margiela REPLICA - Never Ending Summer
The Never Ending Summer is not a new fragrance but it’s one I feel not talked too much about. Maison Margiela is another Parisian perfume brand and the REPLICA collection has many fragrances that feel like Euro vacation.
If you want to try a citrus fragrance but don’t want to feel overwhelmed, then try the Never Ending Summer. It has subtle citrus notes and loads of floral notes. And that is why it’s an amazing perfume to try in summer.
This perfume has lighter airy notes that instantly make you feel dreamy. It’s like you are floating around the streets of Paris effortlessly.
This perfume is also a unisex perfume, but I definitely feel women will like it more than men.
I love the unique packaging of the bottle which feels like you have DIYed this perfume.
Jo Malone - Beach Blossom
The Sales representative said this is a spring perfume but I prefer this fragrance in summer. This is actually a Cologne which means it’s going to last longer.
The fragrance has an earthy note to it, which makes you feel closer to nature with a hint of air. Smelling it transports me to a Caribbean beach that is so close to nature, fresh and feels just unbelievably refreshing.
The Beach Blossom has subtle notes of lime and coconut which reminds you of a beach front but with a luxe London touch. And I am not even sure how that is possible.
I also love the packaging. Feels like you are holding a coconut in your hand. This fragrance is perfect for your next beach vacation where you can totally emerge in the experience and come back home smelling like the beach.
Le Labo Lavande 31 Eau de Parfum
Le Labo is a New York based Fragrance brand found in 2006. It’s a young brand but making amazing perfumes that you will absolutely be obsessed with. And if you are looking for a forever perfume, try the Lavande 31.
I honestly had a hard time picking a favorite from the selection. But I gave in and bought a small travel size of the Lavande 31 to see how much I love to make it part of my forever collection.
It has a combination of lavender and jasmine that gives you a spiritual awakening. I say this because it smells like incense sticks you light in temples. And with essential oils, the fragrance will last for a long time on your skin.
There is a hint of hand lotion. It does not feel like the regular perfumes on your skin which dries your skin instantly because of the alcohol content. This perfume instead has a hand lotion texture.
It softens your skin and I can almost smell a Hand lotion, if you can put that in a bottle which makes me feel cozy and comfortable. All in all, my take is that this perfume is a keeper because you won’t need to use a lot of it for the fragrance to last. And it just smells so cozy.
Byredo Bal D' Afrique Absolu De Parfum
Byredo perfumes are as boozy as the store itself. I walked in and I was like yes, can I buy a perfume from you guys please. The clean aesthetic defines the brand. And the bottles are a piece of art. But we are not buying art, but I guess perfume is a non tangible way of experiencing art in my opinion. What do you think? Leave a comment and let me know.
The Bal D’Afrique Absolu is a divine fragrance that you can literally taste. After smelling the perfumes I literally told the sales associate whose name was Chloe by the way that can you show me some more flavors and she smiled. If Dubai had a fragrance, it would be Bal d’Afrique.
This fragrance comes in the Eau de Perfum as well, but they smell completely different. And I prefer the Absolu version because it smells like Rich Lady Candy in a bottle. It’s something a woman is going to want to carry and literally would eat.
Imagine wearing the perfume, you will become sensual and playful. And I totally felt that with the perfume.
This is an oil base again which means the fragrance will last way longer than the alcohol version. I can smell floral wood smell, like a deep forest filled with wild flowers and its raining which feels soft. And how cool is the bottle. The wood crack finish on the lid gives you a touch of nature but in a classy way.
Celine Parade Eau De Parfum
I have started staying away from regular designer perfumes because they feel like mass production and there is nothing unique about them. But walking into the Singapore Celine flagship store, I just fell in love with the bottle and the fresh smell of the perfume.
It has a soft floral fragrance that’s not at all over the top. So for ladies who love subtle fragrances, you have to try this fragrance.
It’s not a fragrance that screams smell me, but it gives you a subtle elegance and class. Though this is not the signature Celine store smell, it does feel very Celine to me.
I have already finished 1/3rd of the bottle, and you don’t need to put on a lot of this perfume. I think this is an amazing daytime perfume that you can wear all year. But it’s a great summer pick for sure. It smells fresh and soft and you feel like a Pretty Woman wearing it.
Byredo Gypsy Water - Eau De Parfum
Gypsy Water Eau De Parfum is another subtle summer fragrance that ladies who do not like rich fragrance would love. Its smells exactly what its called. It has a pristine fresh water smell with a hint of sandalwood that instantly feels like summer.
It has a sweet note that will make you feel like it’s a dessert. A soft and airy dessert that no one can resist. And that is exactly how it smells.
Its not too rich but the sandalwood base adds a woody note to the fragrance which makes it yummier.
It has a fairy dust feeling and I can get rid of the fragrance. Love that these brands are creating these signature fragrances that you can smell and feel amazing in.
It’s fresh, soft and elegant everything in a beautiful bottle.
Maison Margiela REPLICA - Up at Dawn
The Maison Margiela Up at Dawn from the REPLICA collection is by far the fruitiest fragrance I smelled in my discovery day. And I am not complaining at all. If you love bubbly fragrance that feels fun and summer, this one is the one for you.
The late night partier’s dream fragrance. And if you are into Rose fragrance like me, you will absolutely love it. The Rose fragrance is subtle and classy not like you will smell like a rose bush.
It’s subtle and mixed with a musky scent, it’s great for night time.
I am always in a hunt for the perfect Rose perfumes because honestly they are hard to find. The rose scent is very overpowering and many brands have a hard time finding the right combo to make it subtle yet prominent. But Up at Dawn Eau De Toilette has the right notes to feel like summer in French Riviera.
You can imagine yourself wearing a pink dress roaming the beautiful streets.
