A good leather pleated skirt is an essential to any women’s wardrobe for winter. The pleated style creates a classic put together touch to any outfit elevating it instantly. And even if its faux leather, the material keeps you warm.

Work Wear
Outfit 1
Pleated skirts are always a great work wear option. The pleated style looks more sophisticated and elevates a skirt outfit for work. A leather pleated skirt is a great alternative to its summer version where the faux leather or the leather material keeps you feeling warm which is one of the biggest reason most of us opt for pants or jeans.
I love that the pleated details add more texture to this plain material and even if the skirt has some glossiness, the pleats balance that out. In this outfit, I paired the pleated skirt with a sweater blazer, but you can also pair it with regular oversized blazer as well.
The blazer also balances the edginess of the skirt and creates a sophisticated look for office. I added plain heeled ankle boots which completes this cold weather outfit. But if you have a more structured work wear dress code, you can also wear black pumps or even nude pumps with this outfit.
I added a belt to the blazer since I am wearing a lighter layer top and wanted to keep the blazer on all day. But if you are wearing a warmer layer you can wear the belt on top of the skirt that will elevate the outfit even more.
Outfit 2
In this outfit, I am wearing a similar color tone herringbone blazer as the color of the pleated skirt. I always find that wearing monochromatic looks is the easiest way of creating a stylish outfit. Because it does not take much thought in color coordinating your outfit.
So, this is one of my best style tips for anyone who wants to look stylish in a hurry, go monochrome.
I picked up blush tone loafers that brighten up this outfit and look more polished for work. The blazer also adds some texture to this singular tone outfit and so does the loafers.
And in this entire outfit, you can see that the leather pleated skirt does not at all look over the top or out of place.
Casual
Outfit 1
Most of the days we will want to wear casual outfits and its also important to make the faux leather pleated skirt also look casual and appropriate for everyday wear. This will help you maximize the wear out of it and not feel like you wasted your money on it.
The great thing is that you can easily wear the leather skirt casually by making some simple clothing combination. In this outfit, I swapped the boots with a pair of white leather sneakers that instantly make this outfit more laid back.
I also chose a more casual sweater with this V neck polo collar which looks casual. Coincidentally I am wearing the same crossbody bag, but as you can see, it does not change the look in anyway.
If its too cold outside and you want a layer, you can wear a puffer jacket or even a long coat. Because the skirt is midi length, I honestly don’t see any reason to wear tights as I felt really cozy with leather sneakers.
But if its extreme cold weather and you want wear tights, you can absolutely do so as well.
Outfit 2
Cold weather season means wearing chunkier knits and this casual outfit is my go to style. I paired a thicker knit with the pleated leather skirt. The thick sweater keeps me really warm, so most of the time, I don’t even need a third layer specially if you are in California.
But if you need to, adding a long coat will elevate this look. I picked loafer mules for my footwear because they look structured and are easy to slide into because this is my go to running errands look.
If I wearing a plain sweater, adding a gold tone necklace adds some elegance and a luxe touch to the outfit.
The forest green tone of the sweater is balancing the glossiness of the skirt and creating a laid back look. The grained leather of the loafer mules make this outfit luxurious and sophisticated.
Party Wear
Outfit 1
I decided to create some looks with the Hugo Boss pleated skirt. But do check back when I add some of my own looks.
This outfit is more playful and fun with the satin cowl neck bodysuit which helps keep the top in tact instead of riding up. I added black clear strap slides that complete this New Years eve look.
The contrasting color tone of the top with the skirt makes it fun and colorful which is a great outfit to celebrate the new year.
Since the top has a heavier neck detail with the extra fabric in the cowl neck, I dd not want to add any necklace because that might make the outfit busier. So I decided to add embellished earrings that look chic and add a fun party element to the look. But if you want to wear this outfit for Christmas party, you can skip the earrings.
With a black small chain bag, this outfit is an elegant yet fun party look that you can rock for many years.

Outfit 2
This party outfit is great for Christmas get together where you want to dress up a little bit but at the same time do not want to look over the top. To create a cozy look I always prefer a sweater, this wrap front sweater looks cozy yet structured and stylish.

Since the sweater is simple, I wanted to add a bit of glamour and special occasion touch. The embellished statement necklace adds a luxe touch and elevates the neckline of the look.
Because of the statement necklace, I kept the earring minimal, but still festive wit the stone embedded ear crawlers which are always my favorite choice for special occasion instead of studs.
If you are celebrating at your own home, you don’t need a bag, but I added this pouch bag that looks festive but not over the top.
