How To Get The Emily In Paris Look without being a Copy Cat

After binge watching Emily In Paris in like 2 days, I have to say, I was obsessed with the show and as a fashion addict, I wanted to recreate her looks. It just came at the right time when I need a little bit of mood booster. And the show was something every woman would enjoy. It is witty, and spontaneous and more than anything, it breaks a lot of corporate rules. Something that made me feel a bit happier being in the corporate world myself for years. But the show became quite the talk of the town not because of how Emily broke barriers of the corporate rules and created her mark in her company on her own terms, but actually because of her erratic personal style.

I also enjoyed the style of gorgeous ladies of the show including Emily, but moreover her style evolution and the impact that Paris was making on that. Though there has been a lot of critics for her style sense or the show in general. I just found her style refreshing and a trend setter by herself.

So, I had to recreate one of the looks and I decided to recreate my favorite look from the show, The All Pink Outfit. Though in real life, all that pink is way too much for me. I absolutely fell in love with the idea of a Pink Coat. I had been thinking about owning one and this was the perfect year and occasion to that. If you look at her style, you will notice that there is a lot of mix of texture or pattern in her outfit. So, I decided to mix the same color theme but with different patterns and textures.

A tweed skirt is so Parisian and so I add this one to the mix. I felt that since I could not make this look more pink, adding a bit of white would be a great alternative in keeping the look bright.

I also wanted to recreate some more of my favorite outfits for you guys. The next favorite look of mine is the Green coat one which she wore to influencer event. The outfit was a cohesive combination of patterns and styles. But the main color palette was green. I think by now Emily’s outfits had improved quite a bit and so did her mastering the French mind. Don’t you think?

This next outfit is really popular and really easy to recreate and rewear everyday. And I think that is how I saw Emily’s outfits evolved, as she got really comfortable in Paris. This outfit signified her being effortless and chic in Paris with minimal accessories and color patterns. It also showed how sophisticated she looked.

I would love to know whether you hated or loved the show and what were your favorite scenes.
