Trying to find a No Mess and easy to touch up your gray roots while you are on the go. In this post, I am rounding up the best instant root touch up products you will love.

Gray hair has a way of creeping up on us when we least expect it and at the most visible places possible. If you have them, you know exactly what I mean by this.

And you can’t really color your hair every weekend because they grow out that fast. In this case these instant root touch kits or just sticks will come in handy. You can quickly cover your grays whether you are at work, traveling or just heading to a gathering.

These products will keep your hair look finished and good as freshly done.

How we Decided This?

There are a lot of instant root touch up products that claim to do the trick. And someone who has actual grays, I know some pain points.

Here is how we decided which ones will actually work.

  • No sprays – yes they are messy. They are good for balding spots.
  • No messy liquids – I actually tried some of these products and they were really messy.
  • Powders don’t work – For areas like side burns, the powder does not stay. And if your hair gets wet, then you know what happens.

Regrets

  • Does not have a lot of shades. You might not get an exact match.

Style Edit Root Touch Up Stick

The Style Edit Root Touch Up Stick is another great root touch up stick that you can pack in your work or travel back for any quick touch up. It’s completely non messy and stays in your hair as well.

The other tip is a sponge tip that you can use to blend the color and clean your skin. I loved how the black matched my hair color.

TouchBack PRO Gray Root Touch Up Marker

The TouchBack PRO Gray Root Touch Up Marker was an instant hit for me. I bought this to carry with me to India for a long trip. I knew I won’t get a lot of time to touch up my roots with a full hair.

The tip is like a marker and it comes with a comb to even out the application. I picked it up in both black and darker brown. And both shades worked on my hair.

What I Loved

Regrets

  • Wide tip, so tricky to apply in any corner areas specially side burns.

EVERPRO Gray Away Root Touchup Stick

The EVERPRO Gray Away Root Touchup Stick is by far the cheapest product that I found which also works. I always feel like if something is too cheap, it’s not good quality. But this one proved e wrong.

The angular was tip makes it easy to apply and also uses less product. And the round sponge tip makes blending quick and smooth. The stick is also really lightweight.

Just use your finger tips to blend.
