While we all want to look our best for Christmas holiday, we don’t have to be decked up in cocktail dresses everyday. But you can use these outfit ideas to look festive and ready for holidays every single day of December.
These outfit ideas are tone down and casual but they are still put together looks so you don’t look frumpy or boring in casual looks.
I have also linked all the details of the pieces listed below, so you can directly shop what you like.
Fair Isle Sweater + Jeans + Ankle Boots + Coat + Evening Bag
This outfit is perfect for everyday wear or heading to casual laid back gathering or a party which is not black tie or cocktail.
Fair isle sweaters are my favorite for holiday time and if you get something like this one which is not an all over fair isle sweater, then you ca also wear it post holiday in winter and to your ski trips.
I added an evening bag which is the same color tone as the sweater color. This makes this outfit put together and perfect for parties. To complete this look I added pearl dangly earrings which dresses up this casual denim outfit.
Being color coordinated and adding simple touches like the pearl earrings and the bow evening bag makes this outfit dressy.
Colored Chunky Cardigan + Blue Jeans + Flats + Coat + Evening Bag
You don’t have to wear red or holiday related tops for your outfit to look festive. This chunky cardigan that you can wear everyday with a pair of blue jeans looks casual yet cute because of the fuchsia color. I added slingback flats that are so comfortable but it dresses up this denim outfit by adding a feminine touch.
Since you are exposing your feet a bit, I added a faux fur coat to this outfit that will keep you cozy but because its in white shade, it looks more dressed up.
For the evening bag, I chose a black slouchy embellished evening bag that is so chic and perfect for day and night parties.
Added pearl earrings and a pendant necklace that makes your outfit look cuter and chic.
Sweater Dress + Tights + Ankle Boots + Bomber Jacket + Crossbody Bag
This is the perfect everyday outfit with a holiday spin on it. And the cool part is that you can wear even after holidays are over. A cable knit sweater dress is a classic holiday dress but in white it looks luxurious and stylish. The belt on the waist adds a dressed up touch to this normal sweater dress.
I also love all the red pieces that bring a holiday vibe. The red puffer coat is functional and cute. It looks fun and festive when paired with white.
I added sheer tights that will keep your legs warm and also dresses up this casual outfit. I own these ankle boots and I have to tell you they are so fun and great quality pieces that you can wear year after just like I have.
You don’t have to wear a red crossbody bag, but this bag adds a holiday touch to any outfit, so had to shoe you how it looks with this outfit. Did I forget about the white pom pom beanie that looks cute and adds a winter white touch this outfit.
Satin Blouse + Dark Blue Jeans + Ankle Boots + Faux fur Coat + Crossbody Bag
A satin blouse is perfect for holiday season and a red one paired with dark blue jeans looks casual yet so chic and dressy. I would tuck in the blouse, to look put together, but if you are uncomfortable doing a full tuck, you can also do a front tuck.
The red and blue denim color looks fun and cute on all body and ski tones. I added black ankle boots with pointed toe that looks casual but sophisticated as well. The slight block heels dresses up the outfit.
For outerwear, I picked black short faux fur coat to add a festive touch to this outfit, but the length is perfect to be worn with jeans and pants. Finished off the outfit with black crossbody bag which has slight gold details and minimalistic jewelry.
This outfit is perfect for a minimalist who still wants to look festive for the holiday.
Oversized Sweater + Black Leather Leggings + Black Boots + Coat + Bag
Black leather leggings become go to for winter months. In this outfit I added a fun colored oversized sweater to brighten up the leggings look. Paired the outfit with black suede ankle boots that look edgy yes dressed up.
This casual outfit looks sexy and perfect for casual holiday parties. The metallic thread oversized sweater adds a fun touch to this look. I added the faux fur coat in white that instantly makes this outfit winter wonderland look.
You don’t need to always carry a party bag, you can simply take this look from day to night by doing nothing. That is why for earrings, I kept it minimal with ear crawlers. This outfit is cute, sultry and dressed up for a holiday party.
Red Oversized Sweater + White Jeans + White Ankle Boots + Bag
This outfit can be worn from day to night, from office to everyday running errands. A white and red combination is the winter holiday combination. The jeans and sweater are the most casual combination but with the red and white color, it just looks cute and dressy.
It looks like you have put an effort in creating this look. I added a plaid puffer vest since the sweater is oversized, but it also adds a casual festive touch to your outfit. Red plaid is the holiday pattern we see everywhere.
I added a white ankle boots because they complete the red and white look and make this outfit look more expensive. The red bag is optional, but if you are thinking of picking a red everyday bag, you can absolutely wear it to a casual party.
The stone earrings add a party touch to this outfit. So when you are indoors in a party without your boots and puffer vest, you still look festive and dressed up.
Sweater Midi Dress + Ankle Boots + Plaid Scarf + Coat + Evening Bag
Sweater midi dress is modest and casual, but if you wear a colored one, it instantly looks much more stylish and elevated. I love fuchsia colored sweater dress which you can wear everyday, but dress up for Christmas parties.
I added black suede ankle boots with pointed heels that dress up the look by adding a feminine touch. But to keep this outfit cozy and paired it with oversized faux suede coat with shearling lining. This makes this outfit wearable for everyday, but does not take away from the party look.
I added plaid scarf in blush tone which is the perfect holiday staple. It will also keep you feeling cozy. For my earrings, I picked bow earrings that makes this outfit look cute and festive.
And finished this look with an evening bag.
Plaid Shirt + Black Wide leg Jeans + Black Ankle Boots + Red Coat + Crossbody Bag
This outfit is for you if you like classic laid back causal Christmas party outfits that are still structured and put together but really comfortable. This is exactly that look. The Plaid shirt and black wide leg jeans look structured and dressed up, but still comfortable and laidback.
Adding the red coat dresses up this outfit without making it look over the top. I chose black ankle boots with block heel because they will make you look taller in wide leg jeans.
The subtle detail of the red stud earrings adds a cuteness to this look even though this outfit is much more structured.
This look is great for everyday wear too, so I paired it with a black bag.
V Neck Cardigan + Corduroy Pants + Coat + Flats + Bag
Corduroy pants will never go out of style. And they are the best winter casual bottoms that you can also dress up. Yes, I know they used to be last season but now they are back with a stylish twist. In this outfit I paired green corduroy pants with green v neck cardigan creating a monochrome outfit that looks chic and stylish.
I paired it with black coat, so I don’t take anything away from the overall look. I added pair of black flats to tone down the look, but the pointed toe still makes this outfit look cute and dressy.
I wanted to give this outfit a party vibe, so I added green stone earrings that just complete this monochrome outfit and makes it look so fun for any laidback or a little sophisticated Christmas party.
What do you think?
White Sweater + White jeans + Red Plaid Scarf + Red Coat + Loafers + Bag
This is my favorite casual outfit for winter. All white always look expensive and really nice. With a white sweater and jeans you are also casual and comfortable. Since this outfit might look boring, so I decided to add a nude belt to break up the all white and create a waist definition.
I added loafers instead of boots that dresses up this look. But you can totally wear white boots. The pop of red with the red plaid scarf and coat looks cute and festive. You can wear this outfit with any combination of plaid color, but this just looks perfect for a Christmas party.
I finished the look with an evening bag and a simple drop earrings.
