Pleated skirts get a whole new look when they are printed. They look versatile and sophisticated and the prints makes them actually easier to style.
In this post I am sharing easy ways you can create 10 different looks with just one printed pleated skirt for fall. I love wearing skirts in fall and winter to change my leggings or jeans days. And a pleated skirt is perfect for that. It looks structured yet dressed up and if you pick a printed one, its really versatile as well. And you can rock the skirt all year round.
I have linked all the items available and similar pieces with every outfit for you to shop.
What I am covering in this post:
Leather Jacket, T Shirt & Boots
Create an edgy yet sophisticated look by pairing your pleated skirt with a black leather jacket and black ankle boots. This is a timeless yet really chic outfit formula and you can create this with any color skirt.
And this is such an easy outfit to put together than you can wear it for running errands to picking up your kids or even fall events. You want to dress it down, pair it with a white T shirt or match the t shirt with the base color of the skirt. Add some occasion appropriate jewelry and you are set.

Black Blazer, Pumps & Scarf
This business casual outfit is perfect for at office meetings or even going out with your co workers. But you can also wear this to regular events by simply scrunching the sleeves of the blazer and leave it unbuttoned.
I wanted to show you a dressed up version, that looks sophisticated and cozy for the fall weather. You will stay cozy and loo stylish doing that.
This is where you can swap the color of the scarf and recreating so many different looks. And if you are headed to work, and want to take off the blazer, the scarf will keep you warm.

White Leather jacket, Monochrome T shirt & White Leather Sneakers
Monochrome outfits are really effortless yet look put together for some reason. Like in this outfit because the color of the jacket matches the color of sneakers and the same for t shirt and skirt, the outfit does not look as casual as it is.
You definitely look like you have your style act together. The white jacket and white sneakers also brightens up the outfit if you are using this formula with a darker skirt.
Again a classic look that you can pull off easily for any occasion you like.

Long Coat, Shirt & Slingback Pumps
As the weather gets cooler, we also get ready to wear longer coats that will keep us warmer. And you can wear them with pleated skirts too. In this outfit, I chose another color instead of black and white to show you, how you can also color block with a printed skirt. It looks sophisticated and stylish.
This is my go to style when I want to look more put together all thanks to the slingback pumps. They are a great alternative to regular pumps because they keep your toes covered so you look put together but the open slingback style makes them really comfortable.
I chose to wear a short sleeve button down shirt, but you can also wear a blouse, or long sleeve shirt with this outfit. I wanted to keep wearing my summer tops for as long as I could.

Long Sweater and Ankle Boots
Sweater weather calls for a sweater outfit too. And a black sweater is probably a staple in all of our closets. In this outfit I am simply wearing a black sweater and match this with black ankle boots. And if you cannot be bothered with another layer, you can easily get away with just the sweater.
If its already too cold where you live, you can swap the crewneck sweater with turtleneck or mock neck. And if its not that cold, pick a short sleeve sweater. But this is a classic combination of pattern and solid that you can recreate in any color combination. So, you don’t have to just wear a black sweater.

Cropped Blazer & T shirt
Cropped blazers are a great version to jackets this year. They look structured and sophisticated, but with the cropped silhouette, they look casual and perfect for everyday wear. This cropped blazer from L’agence is in tweed material that looks even better.
The cropped length of the blazer actually elongates my bottom part of the body making me look taller. This is also because I am wearing a t shirt that is the same color as the skirt.
You can wear this outfit with ankle boots as well. But I chose to wear it with slingback because they feel really comfortable.
Cardigan, Ankle Boots & Fedora Hat
If you like bohemian style then this outfit formula is just for you. I always find cardigans very bohemian. And this outfit combination is so timeless too. You can recreate it in any color tone as well.
But I prefer to recreate this with patterned cardigan like cable knit or some sort of pattern, if you pick on which is basic cotton blend you will not get the same effect. I paired the outfit with a white Fedora hat and white Ankle boots, but you can also choose to change the color of the hat.
And if it gets cooler and you want to layer, pick a t shirt or tank top that matches the cardigan. That’s genius, isn’t it.

Short Coat, Button Down Shirt & Loafers
White button down shirt is another timeless clothing piece you can wear all year round. And it being full sleeve is perfect for fall weather as well. But you don’t have to just wear white shirt, you can wear any color shirt with the printed skirt.
I paired a similar shade of short coat, which can sometime pass as a blazer. This outerwear piece is my favorite for in between weather like Fall and spring where you don’t want to were a really long coat, but you also want to stay cozy. I love putting over my shoulders to create an effortless look when its not too cold.
The monochrome look always turns out really good no matter what shade of style of outfit you wear.
I love the wearing loafers all year round, but fall is my favorite time to wear them. Its not too cold to rock boots suddenly yet, but you still want to cover your feet, you can do that with loafers. And they also look so sophisticated because of the hardware and stitching details.

Patterned Blazer
Yes you can! If you have small prints or color block patterns on the skirt, you can also wear a patterned blazer or coat. The pattern on the blazer should not be too big, like you cannot wear big plaid blazer with the skirt, it will look really busy and your outfit will look messy.
Choose patterns like herringbone, houdstooth or just checks.
You can make this outfit casual by swapping the pumps with boots, but I also wanted to show you another way of creating a monochromatic outfit.

Black Lowneck Top & Cute Heels
This is my favorite look. I love styling wearable pieces for date night because why not, you want to stay comfortable for date night as well, don’t you.
And this outfit is so easy to recreate as well. Add a square neck or any other style of neckline knitted top. Add a pair of cute heels and layer on a black leather jacket. You are ready for date night. I chose to wear black because the skirt itself is bright, but if you are wearing a dark tone skirt opt for a brighter top to change the look.
you don’t need to wear only black for date night.
