Undoubtedly, your dress is an essential aspect of your looks, but your hairstyle is even more crucial. It is the first thing someone notices. And believe me, it sends tons of messages, especially in a work environment.
But the question that usually pops up in our minds is; “How should I style my hair?” Creating a professional hairstyle for long hair can be somewhat daunting because it requires proper hair care. Moreover, some hairstyles aren’t just appropriate for the workplace.
That’s why I’ve come up with different office hairstyles for long hair in this blog you’d love. You can transform your frizzy hair into a professional one in five minutes using these hairstyling techniques.
Ponytails
Ponytails are quite easy to style, usually done in under five minutes. If you have long hair, you can style it into the following ponytail hairstyles we’ll discuss below.
Messy Low Ponytails
This hairstyle is a go-to for women with long hair looking for something simple and easy to create. It’s always in vogue due to its clean and polished look. The beauty of this messy low ponytail is that you can style it in several ways. You could pull out some strands to frame the face or leave everything at the back. To do this, loosen some hair from the hair tie at the back for additional volume and carefully backcomb the pony for texture. It’s one of the easiest office hairstyles for long hair.
Sleek Low Pony with a Nape Tie
You should try this hairdo if you have long hair and struggle to keep it from flying everywhere. It’s the opposite of the hairstyle we discussed earlier because you need to tie the hair at the nape of the neck. Keeping it together gives it a sleek pull-back. This hairstyle is quick to execute but no less fashionable.
Twisted Ponytail
A twisted ponytail is an easy-to-do hairstyle that enhances looks. It mimics the French braid, but of course, without the pony. If you consider the sleek low pony too basic, you should do a twisted pony. It is a more fashionable hairstyle than the sleek low pony and the basic low ponytail hairstyle.
Tie your hair into a low pony at the neck’s base with a hair tie. Pull some hair from the center above the tie separately and twist the pony up through the vacant space you took the hair from. You may accessorize with pins to enhance looks.
High or Mid-Sleek Ponytail
High or mid-sleek mid or high ponytails are similar. The slight difference is that while the mid has its pony at the center of the hair, the high pony is secured at the top. Nevertheless, these two hairstyles are high-impact and great for women looking to do a quick hairdo. Wearing this hairstyle is beneficial, as it lifts the face and elevates your looks.
Brush the hair upside down into a pony and smoothen it while the head is still raised. Put some hairspray to slick the baby hairs and secure it with your hair tie.
Wavy Ponytail
A wavy ponytail is that hairstyle to wear if you want to look sharp for an interview or a meeting with a client on a Monday morning. The good news is it’s simple to style. Spritz some texturizing spray and tie the hair into a pony. Curl the pony and set the appearance with hairspray.
Silky Scarf Ponytail
This ponytail is perfect for days where you literally cannot style your hair. You might be running late, or you are just not motivated to stand in front of the vanity to style your hair. Simply tie your hair in a low ponytail and tie a silk scarf around the tie.
Secure the scarf by looping it through the band. But if you don’t even want to do it, just buy hair ties with built in scarf. The scrunchie scarves are the best kept secret for elegant hair in seconds.
Buns Hairstyles For Office
Buns are harder to style than ponytails, but they are a low-maintenance hairstyle. You can save precious time styling your hair in the following styles.
Simple Bun Loss Fringe
You can never go wrong with a simple bun hairstyle. Though very basic, this hairstyle still makes an excellent choice for any formal occasion. It’s so easy that a child can do it in seconds. Comb the hair neatly to remove any stray hair. Bring it tightly back at the neck’s nape and start twisting, almost as if you’re rolling into a ball. Once you’ve done that, secure it tightly with a bun fastener.
Braided Bun
This is another simple hairdo you can do in a minute flat. It is made by twisting your hair from the side into a braided half-up and then twisting the bottom part into a huge, messy bun.
This hairstyle is perfect for thick hair ladies who don’t have hours to spend on styling their hair.
But if you have fine hair and you want to try it, use texture spray to add some volume.
High Bun with Curtain Bangs
Curtain bangs with high buns are one of the most popular female hairstyles for their versatility and aestheticism. Wearing curtain bangs with a high bun creates a phenomenal look that goes well with professional events.
A lot of people confuse this with the top bun, but they are slightly different. The high bun is created in the crown, while the top bun is made in the center of the head. Taking a look at the design, you’ll notice the hair around the crown turned into a voluminous high bun. Some hair strands from the frontal part were left loose to frame the face.
High Bun With Braids
This style mostly suits women with black hair or ladies who have thick curly hair. But I’ve seen many blondes rocking the style. The complexity of this style adds edginess to the wearer’s vibe. It’s best to place the high bun in an area that aligns with the cheekbones.
This keeps all the curls intact and your hairstyle professional for office.
Claw Clip Bun
This is by far the easiest bun style you can create in seconds effortlessly. Honestly most of us with long hair probably do this everyday at home. Simply gather all your hair in a low ponytail and twist and fold on the back of the head.
And add a claw clip. You can go for simple black claw clips or add a gold touch with a metal one. Totally depends on your outfit.
Scrunchie Bun
By far the easiest bun hairstyle that looks the most elegant. Pick your favorite scrunchies and tie your hair in a low ponytail. You can also go for a high ponytail. This hairstyle is so easy to do.
You can use a hairspray to tame all the fly aways if you have frizzy hair. But that’s it. Your hair will look put together and professional without any work.
Now, you can simply get up and get ready without worrying what to do.
Pink April Diary Style Tip
Match the color of the scrunchie with something in your outfit for a put together touch.
Half-Up Hairstyles
I know what you’re thinking. Are half-up hairstyles professional? Yes, they are. The versatility of half-up hairstyles makes them impeccable for work or professional outings. Here are a few styles to try.
Half-Up Bun
Half-up bun shows you don’t have to make your hair complicated to look adorable. This half-up hairstyle is as gorgeous as any hairstyle, and if you’re a blonde, then this hairstyle will suit you best. You will have to wash your hair with a shampoo and conditioner for more fullness and shine unless you want to style your natural texture. Curl the hair with a wand and wrap some sections from the side into a bun.
Scarf Half-Up Ponytail
Half-up hairstyles aren’t complicated if you understand the techniques involved. As showcased in this picture, you can create it in less than five minutes. But I advise that you swap out the elastic for something more fashionable to elevate the style.
Wear a scarf scrunchie to turn this basic hairstyle to an elegant one in no time.
Wrapped Bouffant Half-Up
This style is a go-to for women in love with half-up styles. Although casual, you can wear it to whatever formal event you plan. It makes such a great style because it’s easy to do. You can achieve this style by teasing the crown for additional volume. Then wrap some parts of your hair around the hair tie.
Half-Up with Bobby Pins
It is an even simpler half-up hairdo. All you need is some bobby pins to hold the hair half-up. The hairstyle can transform regular hair into an extraordinary attraction. Words of advice – spray the pins with a dry shampoo to give them extra hold. You wouldn’t want them slipping out of your hair. That can be embarrassing.
Half Up With Beret
In love with curls but want to take yours to the next level? Try this hairstyle. It’s effortless and simply a beauty to behold. All that’s required to get this look is to dampen the hair with a shampoo and conditioner like the All-in-One Coconut Infusion Spray and gently scrunch the hair. Pull some hair from the two sides and hold it with a pearl beret.
This hair is perfect for all your gorgeous curly hair ladies.
