You want to wear these gorgeous straight leg jeans and have been wondering what should look the best in them, then read on. I am sharing some awesome shoes combination with these straight leg jeans that you could rock this spring and summer.
You might already own a lot of these shoes, and that is idea behind styling any essential in your closet. You should be able to pair them with what you already own.
I have been drawn to these straight leg jeans this year purely because they are comfortable yet they look structured and put together. I used to be into Slouchy jeans all the time. I am sharing my thoughts in why you should be too in a blog post here.
But I think these straight leg jeans are the next best thing for us women who value comfort and structure equally.
I have two styles of straight leg jeans which is what you will see in the market to give you guys an idea of what shoes you can easily pair and will look the most flattering.
Ankle Length (Cropped) Straight Leg Jeans
Ankle length or more cropped style jeans are more popular during the warmer weather because it looks and feels more laid back and casual. The one I am wearing are from Levis one of my favorite pairs of this season.
Loafer Mules
These are always my obvious pairs, they look good with any bottoms, but with the straight leg jeans they look effortlessly chic. Since the jeans are does not really make your legs look slimmer, wearing something that shoes more of your ankle definitely helps.
The hardware details on the mules and the structured toe style adds a stylish touch to the casual laidback look with the jeans. This is my Go To way of wearing these jeans. And this is also an awesome workwear idea.
Loafers
If you own loafers you can totally wear them with cropped ankle length jeans. They still don’t cover all your ankles and they look more structured and stylish as well as sophisticated.
Its another great option to wear with loafers and you can absolutely wear this outfit to work. Unlike loafer mules, just loafers are more structured and sophisticated version. But they are also the perfect shape that your legs look elongated in them.
Slides
Another footwear that I absolutely love wearing it with these straight leg jeans are Slides. Its so easy to wear these Slides specially when you are running errands.
With these Chloe Woody Slides, I can absolutely wear this to a lunch meet up with my close friends where I don’t need to look too put together, but the outfit combination definitely does.
Slides are the perfect footwear for summer and now with so many cute ones available in the market, you can always create an effortless chic look with them

Chunky Sandals
I have been recently introduced to these, and I have to say I am hooked. These chunky sandals with t he gold hardware details are way better that the ones I use to wear as a kid in 90s.
They are so comfortable, but because of the quilted style and lots of openness to them, they make for a great casual pair that you can wear anywhere and specially with these cropped jeans.
This will look better with a cropped length jeans compared to full length because the sandals are a bit too chunky and can make you look bulkier if your ankles are not visible. That is the general rule when you are building outfits with straight leg jeans.

What I am covering in this post
Ankle Length (Cropped) Straight Leg Jeans
The other general variation of these straight leg jeans are the full length ones. This pair that I am wearing are from Loft and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with them. They look chic and the rip details on the knees give them the perfect casual bohemian vibe.
I say bohemian because, its usually the more relaxed and flowy and that is what these jeans are.
Espadrille Wedges
With the covered length of these jeans, its important that you wear something that is going to elongate and make your legs look longer and leaner so you look flattering in any look.
My obvious choice with these jeans were my Castaner Espadrilles that are the perfect summer essential that I think every woman should own. Even though the toes are closed, I can still see my feet which gives an illusion of length and also adds a summer touch to the completely covered look.
This is my favorite casual date night look.

Platform Sandals
With platform sandals you can be completely comfortable and still have the height and chicness wearing these jeans. I think you might have already figured it out, but the whole idea is to shoe your feet a little since the jeans are covering your entire legs which make you look shorter and not so flattering.
The platform sandals are also really popular this year, so if you don’t own one, you can easily find one in any brand. I can walk in them for hours without feeling tired even if I am wearing heels. Isn’t that amazing?
You can see how effortlessly they make my legs look longer and leaner even though they are not stilettos.
Pumps
If you are planning to wear these jeans to work or you prefer to wear close toe shoes. You can absolutely wear them with pointy toe pumps. I love how pairing these pink ones from Sarah Flint which I have reviewed on the blog as well with a matching top and create and effortless date night look that I can also wear to work. I can add a blazer and I am done.
This is one of the biggest reason I have fallen in love with straight leg jeans, they are so versatile and you can create a million different looks with them.
Pointy Toe Flats
If you prefer to wear flat pumps, you can also do so. I don’t own one, so I paired these jeans with pointy toe loafer mules to give you an idea of how they would look. With the pointy toe detail of the shoes, you can add some extra length to your entire look which in turn looks more flattering.
Since the jeans itself create a boxier look because of the straight leg style, the idea is to pair a footwear that will give you the appearance of height which always looks more flattering.
Rope Tie Flats
This is my favorite look for summer. I love a good tie style sandals and these ones from Madewell are y favorite. I have been wearing them for a couple of years and take them out during simmer and for my beach vacations.
Pairing them with these straight leg jeans created the perfect modern bohemian look that I wanted to create. The almost invisible straps of the sandal shows a lot of my feel which does not make the jeans look really long. And the footwear also looks so flattering for summer where you want to wear something that is airy and breathable.
A hat completed this boho chic style, don’t you think?
I hope this inspired you to style your straight leg jeans in different ways and see the real potential in them. I would love to know which was your favorite pairing, so don’t forget to leave a note below.
