Looking for outfit ideas for your next Beach resort vacation and you really don’t want to buy all new outfits. Or maybe you don’t have time to shop for clothes. In this post I am sharing Resort Wear ideas that you can come up with pieces that you already own from your closet.
All of these outfits have the Resort looks but the clothing pieces can be worn for other occasions as well and not just for a Resort vacation because let’s face we hate doing that. Yes of course, if you have a special piece that you really want to wear, its fine, but coming up with brand new looks for like 7 days and night can be a bit much.
So, lets get started.
Pool / Beach Outfits
Since this is the main reason most of us head to a beach resort, I wanted to share two easy looks that you can create wearing your swim wear. You can just add these pieces and you will look more elevated and put together instead of looking like you are just in your bathing suit.
In this outfit I am wear a bikini top but instead of wearing a sarong, I chose to pair it with black linen pants that add a monochrome look to the outfit. You can also choose to wear white or any other color of linen pants to create your own spin.
But this outfit look fun and still sophisticated, so if you want to eat at the restaurant, you can totally wear this and look chic in it. For my accessories, I carried a straw hat and a beach bag which I wore with most of my beach looks. And a pool slide that looks more elevated with the pop of color and style.
Shirt dresses are the perfect alternative to cover ups and the fun part is that you can also wear them when you are not on the beach, so they are pretty much double duty for you. In this outfit, I am wearing a white bikini set, and paired with this dress. You can also wear other colored bikini to change things up and create a brand new look.
My accessories were the same as the above outfit, but because they were more of a neutral color tone they went with most of my outfits.

Day Time Looks
When you are hanging out in a beach resort, you will need to think of daytime activities as well as night time events that you will be attending. You might want to go to a nice dinner, or maybe want to head out to check nearby areas around the resort and these first set of looks are more appropriate for daytime events.
White shorts always look amazing on vacation, they just feel more appropriate don’t you think? But these cotton long shorts are more mid thigh and you can wear it everyday as well. But adding a chic top like this one shoulder top adds the perfect elegance and chicness for vacation. This top is from Ann Taylor and adds the perfect resort like sophistication to the shorts.
A mini cotton skirt can be really handy, you can wear it as a beach cover up as well. I used it as one of the beach looks. But here, I paired it with a red crop top to create summer chic and flirty outfit that to so many compliments when I was on he resort. The crop top is from Lulus and is really inexpensive.
A Slip dress is the most versatile piece of clothing and in this outfit I just paired it with a white linen shirt which I tied in the front to create a cool and relaxed summer outfit that still look stylish and appropriate for the resort.
And my white espadrilles with the beach bag completes the resort ready day time outfit.
Evening Looks
We also should be prepared for some evening outfits that you can wear to go for a fancy dinner in the resort or after hours drink which I always look forward to.
Rather than wearing a Little Black Dress, I chose to wear this black ankle length linen dress that looks more comfortable and really elevated with the puff sleeves. Unfortunately this dress is sold out, but I have to say I have worn this dress so much that it might tear any day. But because its linen, you won’t feel hot in it at all.
I added a pop of color with the pink belt, but a belt with hardware details will elevate this outfit even more. I kept my footwear flat since I felt like this outfit really looked awesome that way.
I wore the same slip dress but I swapped the linen shirt with a yellow linen blazer that creates a monochromatic outfit that always looks chic and put together. This is an example how one piece of clothing can be worn in different ways and you can maximize your luggage.
For my footwear I wanted to add some chic touch with these woven mules that have the perfect heel I can walk in all day.
I created a black and white outfit that looked so chic and stylish with this from tie crop top. And pairing it with these white wide leg linen pants this outfit looks so expensive and stylish. The crop top was really affordable, but because its made out of cotton material, I felt really comfortable in it and it showed a bit of mid riff that looked perfect for Resort look.
I actually wore this look twice, once for dinner with the flats and once with the white woven mules for more of an after hours look.
