After almost finishing my first bottles & around 4 months after trying the Good molecules Niacinamide Serum and the Niacinamide Brightening Toner, I am ready to share the results with you all. If you suffer with larger pores like me because of oily skin, you also know that with age it only gets worse.
I really wanted to find a solution and when these two products were gifted to me to try out. I honestly wanted to see whether they will work.
Curious whether it worked?

How Do Find Out About Your Skin Type?
I always knew I had bigger pores. You can easily see them in close observation. But at the same time if you don’t take proper care and you have somewhat combination to oily skin, your pores potentially will open up more.
The more oil secretion because of dehydration, the more the pores open. This makes your skin look textured and uneven as well and the side effects would be not so great makeup, breakout prone skin and more importantly black heads.
Sharing an image of me with a full face of makeup and you can still see my pores from close.
What is Niacinamide?
Its a handful to pronounce for sure, but Niacinamide is also called nicotinamide which is a form of Vitamin B 3 and has a lot of healing benefit.
And the great part is that this extract is found in food. So, there are no animals harmed in the process of extracting this.
Niacinamide can cure uneven skin, and is also used for acne treatment. So, more or less, this nutrient is highly beneficial for consumption as well skin application.
Why Did I Picked Good Molecules?
When I saw the ingredients of the serum and the toner, I was instantly ready to try on. As you can see from the picture, my face lacked the glow. I have never had a glow even though I always had clear skin.
And I think its because of my open pores. So, I thought of trying out the brightening toner which claimed both benefits.
I was a bit skeptical about the niacinamide serum because I was already using the caudalie pore minimizer serum and I was not at all impressed by the results.
And you already know that Caudalie is pretty expensive.
Moreover, what I loved about all of the products from Good Molecules is that you can use them both day and night.
Hence I had not much to loose because the serum only costs $6, the cheapest I have ever bought. Gosh! it was hard for me to believe.
The brightening toner was more expensive than the serum, hahaha! It costs $12.
So you can see that the products are even cheaper than the drug store alternatives.
So, even if I needed more, I was not emptying my Wallet for something that didn’t work.
How I used it?
I was not using just the serum and the toner. I swapped my Estee Lauder hydrating toner with the Good Molecules Brightening toner in both my day and night time skin care routine.
I added the niacinamide serum from Good molecules as my first step in both my day time and nighttime skin care.
So, I was still using my other serums that I used for hydration and repair from Lancome and Estee Lauder. Both of these products are part of my skin care for more than 2 years now. And I was still not seeing the results that I wanted to.
The Result
This was mind blowing once I really started paying attention. You see I have been using the product for about 3-4 months.
So, its natural that you won’t notice the change in your skin yourself. But it was recently that someone on instagram commented on one of my Reels video saying how flawless my skin looks.
That made me stop and wonder!
So, I started paying attention to how my skin looks before and after makeup, and I realized that there is visible difference in the pore size.
And I finally notice a glow without any highlighter.
The picture below has no filter. It’s just taken in natural sun light.
At 36, my skin does have some discoloration with sun damage around my cheeks, but they have reduced.
And After makeup, my face has started looking amazing.
Overall Thoughts
As I am writing this review, I am also buying my second bottles of the products, so you already know the answer. I love it.
The price of the product is just unbeatable. And good molecules is a cruelty free because all of their products are plant based.
And if you haven’t already noticed then I have to mention it that this $6 bottle lasted me about 4 months, which means it only costed around $1.50 a month. Amazing isn’t it.
The Toner costed me $3 a month.
Honestly, I would highly recommend them to anyone who has open pores condition like me.
And, I have already started trying the Hyluronic acid serum and the Yerba eye cream.
Something To Note
This was not an instant transformation, let me make it clear.
It took me almost 4 months to see a difference. So, don’t complain if you don’t see any change in a week.
That is why it is important to form a skin care routine. This is the most important lesson I learnt in my 30s.
To create a routine and stick to it.
