This travel makeup bag is made of PU leather which is not real leather. While real leather is a better material, PU leather helps keep the cost of this product down and they are great waterproof fabric.

The bag is rectangular and has a diagonal zipper and it completely opens into this big case. Which I think is a genius design idea.
This way you can fully access everything kept inside the bag. Traditionally a cosmetic bag with zipper compartments only have top opening, and it’s hard to find small items.
The interior of the cosmetic bag impressed me. It has two big compartments. There is one middle zipper compartment and a side zipper compartment.
And the other size has slip on sections which looks perfect for small palettes.
Space In the Cosmetic Bag
Once I filled up all my necessities, I will be honest, I was skeptical.
It did not look like the bag will close at all. I usually don’t travel with full size makeup, but I did put all the full size skincare products which took up a lot of space.
But I was surprised that the makeup bag closed completely. You do have to move things around as you fold the bag to zip. But I did not have to take anything out.
It completely closed and the shape also remained almost intact. If you are wondering why the PU leather of this cosmetic bag feels soft, you will understand why once you use it.
Thanks to the soft PU leather, the bag closed easily holding all of my makeup.
And the handle is sturdy enough that it is still able to hold the heavy cosmetics bag.
Does It Fit In Carry On Suitcase?
I already own a bigger cosmetic case from Amazon that I have been using for years. It works great for long trips where I also have a check in suitcase.
But on short trips and where I want to only pack a carry on, I wanted a makeup bag that is compact, so my monos suitcase will have room for actual stuff.
And I was so happy that it takes up way less space. And my suitcase closes perfectly after packing the cosmetics bag.
Overall Thoughts
Even if the cosmetics bag costs only $25.99, the Bottega Veneta inspired weave pattern makes it look way more expensive.
I also like that the design does not include any logos, which adds to it. Now, I have used the bag couple of times, but packed it to full and have not seen any rips or zipper issues.
So, I definitely would recommend this cosmetics bag if you want a compact makeup bag for your upcoming travels.
